Lipotropics/MIC

Lipotropic injections are sometimes referred to as MIC, Lipo, Lipo-B, Lipo-C, Super MIC, or "Skinny Shot," among other names. They most often contain MIC (methionine, choline, inositol) as the base, and then other ingredients such as B12, B6, B-complex, or L-carnitine are included for added benefits. Overall, these ingredients help to convert fat into energy, reduce cravings, control blood sugar levels, support the immune system/gut health, and even improve mental function. Am I a good candidate for weight loss injections?

Every individual will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Research has shown these are highly effective medications for the management of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and PCOS. In addition, other off-label benefits have been produced, and some studies show this may also help with addictive behaviors that involve alcohol, nicotine, and/or food. Pair this with a healthy diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes for best results.

Who cannot take compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Although these medications are noted as very safe medications, it is not recommended if you have any of the following:

Diabetic retinopathy
Type I Diabetes
Thyroid cancer
Family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)
Kidney disease or impaired kidney function
Multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)
Pancreatitis

CAUTION: if planning to get pregnant within the next 2 months, surgery (must stop dose at least 2 weeks prior or as directed by your provider), gallbladder or gastrointestinal disease, suicidal ideation

Please note: though you may not be a good candidate for semaglutide or tirzepatide, there are always other options to creating the healthy lifestyle of your dreams.

Do you take insurance?

There is no hassle, no haggle, no stress, and no need for insurance here. Though we do not network with insurance companies, we can provide a superbill or a lab order for you to submit to insurance. We accept HSA/FSA as well as credit card payment for our services, and we do not charge any extra credit card fees, nor do we accept tips for services.
